Clean Ones Takes On Playtex

Clean Ones, which already makes its line of gloves available in bags that feature a "Compare to Playtex" flag; is coming out with a "Playtex-style" box. The company provides gloves through private label, Clean Ones branded and combination programs.

"By placing our premium gloves in a box, we have furthered our position as the true national brand equivalent in premium household gloves. We provide gloves which are a household necessity, and we do it with packaging that provides the same feel as the national brand. Consumers get an NBE product at a much better value, and retailers don't have to compromise on the quality of the items they put their names on," says Jennifer Fritz, product and marketing manager. "Retailers are able to achieve higher profits in the glove category and still give their customers all of the benefits the national brand offers. We've really just made it a smarter choice."
