Merchandising Versatility
The market place is full of convenience products designed to help keep clean, floors dust-free, hands sanitized, and coffee tables devoid of dust bunnies, according to officials at Clean Ones. But they’re optimistic about releasing a new package configuration of the company’s disposable nitrile gloves under the Workin’ Glove™ line. The new six-count package is being introduced in the first quarter of 2007.
Currently, Clean Ones, based in Portland, Ore., sells 60- and 80- count boxes or 12- count bags to retailers for general merchandise, automotive, paint and other departments. This line extension of the six-count package offers retailers versatility with merchandising options like clip strips or open stock.
Clean Ones disposable nitrile gloves are designed to stand up against punctures and abrasion while providing strong protection against chemicals and solvents when tackling tough chores. The six-count package offers good value and has the same "use and toss" appeal to consumers as other convenient cleaning items, company officials say.
"The smaller package is ideal from a convenience standpoint, as there is no commitment for a large-count package, making it attractive for impulse purchasers and casual users alike," a company officials says. "It’s a great impulse item for retailers to spur last-minute additions to the market basket, and consumers get a chance to try disposable gloves if they haven’t used them before at a low commitment level."
